As of April 2009, NONESUCH SPACE is on hiatus until further notice. We wish to thank all those who attended the exhibits and events we have held here – as well as the artists, filmmakers and writers who helped to make it possible. Check back soon for updates.
NONESUCH SPACE was created to present high-quality arts programming, provide educational outreach, and to develop community audiences for the arts in Oakland. Programming includes exhibitions, film screenings, events, classes and lectures.
NONESUCH SPACE opened its doors December 2007 in the upper floor of the elegant, newly renovated historic Scharman building, built in 1892. The 775 square foot space is a unique hybrid venue launched as a nexus of arts and culture in the city’s urban core.
NONESUCH SPACE is a project of Paragon Media, a not-for-profit organization.
